Free Car Parking Campaign

Free Parking, Brendan Clarke-Smith, Bassetlaw,

Let's Support Our Town Centres!

Earlier this month I launched a survey asking residents if they would support calls for 1 hour free car parking in our town centres. The results of that survey were conclusive, and local residents in Bassetlaw want to see the District Council implement an hour's free car parking in both Retford and Worksop.

This campaign will not only encourage and allow more people to use our town centres and high streets but also support our small shops and independent retailers, who have been hard hit following the COVID-19 pandemic

So if you want to support our local businesses in our town centres then please sign my petition which is featured below and let Bassetlaw District Council know that you would like to see 1 hour free car parking across Worksop and Retford.

GOAL: 2,500 Signatures

If we are able to get to 2,500 signatures Bassetlaw District Council will have to debate our proposal at the next full Council meeting.
